The Federation of Arab Contractors participates in the Arab Union for Construction and Real Estate Development Conference.

The Arab Contractors Union, represented by its Secretary-General, Engineer Hamdi Shahat, participated in the Arab Union for Building and Real Estate Development Conference, which was held in Cairo on the evening of November 26, 2024, under the auspices of the League of Arab States. The conference was attended by His Excellency Dr. Raed Ali Al-Jubouri, Director of the Department of Organizations and Unions at the League of Arab States, and a group of prominent figures, including ambassadors of Arab countries in Cairo and presidents and representatives of Arab federations that are members of the Arab Forum for Specialized Arab Unions at the League of Arab States.

In his speech, Dr. Lahik Al-Otaibi, President of the Arab Union for Building and Real Estate Development, emphasized the great credit due to the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States for its pioneering role as the primary sponsor of specialized Arab unions. He highlighted the active role played by the Department of Organizations and Unions in supporting the success of the Union and advancing Arab joint action.

He also pointed out that the permanent headquarters of the Union had been established in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and that membership had been opened to institutions and individuals specializing in the field. Additionally, it was decided to open regional offices for the Union in Al-Ayoun, Morocco, and in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.

In his speech, Dr. Raed Ali Al-Jubouri stressed the importance of the expected role of specialized Arab unions within the framework of Arab joint action.
