Doha witnesses a meeting between the Chairman of the Federation of Arab Contractors and the Qatari Contractors Committee.

The Qatari capital, Doha, hosted a prominent meeting between Mr. Ali Al-Sanafi, President of the Arab Contractors Union, and Iraqi representatives, and Engineer Mohamed Al-Jaber, Chairman of the Contractors Committee at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, along with his Deputy, Mr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Mana. On the other hand, the attendees discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Qatari Contractors Committee and the Arab Contractors Union. The discussions also focused on the possibility of the Qatari Committee joining the Arab Contractors Union. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination and integration among member countries in the fields of contracting and construction, serving the sustainable development goals in the region. The meeting included a presentation of the Union’s objectives, which aim to unify efforts and exchange expertise among contractors in Arab countries, with the goal of improving project quality and developing infrastructure in member countries. The discussion also emphasized the importance of creating new investment opportunities in the contracting sector, as well as fostering innovation and technology within this vital industry. For his part, Mr. Ali Al-Sanafi expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the State of Qatar in developing the construction and contracting sector, praising the prominent role of the Contractors Committee in the Qatar Chamber of Commerce in supporting this sector. He also emphasized the importance of this step in strengthening communication among contractors, which opens up vast opportunities for cooperation in major projects at both regional and international levels.
